When you counted down from 10 to ring in the New Year, you may have gone to sleep ready to wake up the next morning to fulfill a list of things. Going to the gym, eating healthier, saving money or even spending a little more on yourself. New Years Resolutions are nice things to determine what you want to accomplish in the next 365 days if you stick with them.
New Years Resolutions are like empty promises you make to yourself. How many people are determined to hit the gym early in the new year? A lot. How many people waste money on a gym membership they had every intention on using ? A lot.
Resolutions are completely unnecessary. They are a way to convince yourself that you are unalterably motivated to do something. Anything. Whatever it is you have set your mind too.
In reality, if you were so motivated to do this thing, like go to the gym for example, it would be happening.
That beach body you've been craving doesn't have to wait till January 1st to start developing. You can start anytime and if you wanted it bad enough, you would start it anytime.
New Years Resolutions are a good excuse to delay doing something that you convince yourself to do but don't have the true commitment to complete.
Whatever it is that you want in life. The work to achieve it can start anytime of any year.
January 1st and a New Years resolutions aren't a magic combination to achieve your goal. Your motivation and determination are the magic combination.
Go ahead and set your goals for this year but remember that failing to reach them as isn't an excuse to wait a whole year to try again.
