No Matter What, You Matter

No matter what the life you're living, you CAN make it through. Here are some things to remember on the days that are a little harder to get through.

No Matter What, You Matter
Holly Hayes

No matter who is in the picture, never feel like you aren't loved by anyone at all. There is someone who loves you. You have a value in this world that cannot be replaced, and someone in your life appreciates that value.

No matter how strong you think you need to be, it is okay to cry. Whether or not you believe it, your feelings are valid. A breakdown to let loose and let go does not make you any less of a person. Allow yourself the freedom to feel and to react.

No matter what kind of day you've had today, it can be turned around. A bad beginning and middle can still have a good ending. You have the power to separate yourself from those negative feelings - or address them head on - so that you can finish your day, week, or year on a good note.

No matter what people say, you can still do amazing things. You aren't defined by the labels that others give you. Indulging in those labels and allowing them to control your choices is giving up your power to choose your own path. If someone labels you lazy and incapable, don't let those labels influence your motivation.

No matter what you think, know you are beautiful. The beauty mark on your cheek, the rolls on your stomach, a tall thin frame - none of this changes your beauty. The weight does not change how wonderful you are, marks on your face do not distract from your brain, and scars upon your body do not change your worth or strength. Everything about your body is perfect. It is there for you and has kept you alive - maybe with a little help - so you could be here today.

No matter what, you matter.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
