Where is the Love?

Hi everyone please relax

Where is the Love?

All I have to say is I hope you made the right choice America.

I never had a view on this election and I'm not gonna sit here and write how one party is right or wrong for casting a specific vote. Honestly, I never have truly understood politics (don't think I ever will) so I am trying to not be biased as I write. And I'm not here to rant about how screwed we all are I'm just here to get my opinion out there.

During this election, I never really had a set viewpoint on who I supported and who I didn't. Overall, I felt as though it was a lose-lose situation. We either have our first woman president who runs into quite a few legal troubles or a man who has definitely a lot of issues himself (racist, sexist, etc.).

I'm happy our first woman president was not Clinton but I'm also unhappy with the choice we made. I know you've probably seen 101 posts about this election but I want this one to be different- in order to create questions about what is about to happen. I am not with her nor am I with him

Trump winning has made a lot of debates arise because no one thinks he is fit to run a country (not only because he has no political background lol) but because of all of the extreme points he made during his campaign. Building a wall and deporting a certain group of people because of their race honestly does not seem like making America great again.

And I understand most of his extreme points brought up will never get passed by congress because they know it is crazy AND it is definitely scary to think that people are TERRIFIED for what the future holds and that's just not the way a presidential election outcome should go. There should never be a presidential campaign where there are groups of people in the country scared to live in their own country. We are all humans with human rights no matter where we come from or what we believe in.

I know some may not agree with because I am a 19-year-old college student living in suburban New Jersey, just watching everything from her laptop but all I want is to see our country being great again. I may not have ever supported Trump but I want to move passed this election and fix everything that needs to be fixed. The people of America have spoken and even though it may not be what everyone wanted, it is reality and we have to face it.

Right now, I'm focused on hoping Donald Trump proves most of America (especially me) wrong and actually makes a positive change for our country. We have to respect each other and understand other people are going to have different views

Sometimes it is scary to think this is our future but America needs a change. We have to focus on not being afraid of what our president may or may not try to do that we have to come together and make a change instead of hiding behind our screens and writing on Facebook we're all going to die because of this. We cannot change the outcome of this election

We have to take this opportunity to come together and not see each other ripping each other apart but supporting each other. Listening to others opinions is so important and for the most part, no one can understand that you have to respect what other people feel. Everyone has different opinions on every little thing but this is not the time to hate one each other for what is going on. It is a time that, if you are scared, to discuss with some people that might have a different view than you and try to understand rather than fight.

That is all. :)

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
