It's that time of the year where kids begin to cry and throw fits when they know that the school year has begun. Yep, that's right... School has officially started, which means that I am officially starting my junior year. IT'S ABOUT TIME. What's even better than starting my junior year is the fact that I am no longer a "transfer" student anymore. I'm just now the "student."
It is my second semester at Marymount University and may I say, it's good to not be new. I remember those struggles in the beginning of my first semester at MU, I didn't know where anything was, walked into wrong classrooms like twice on the first day and wasn't sure what shuttle went where. Thankfully I do not have those struggles anymore. I know exactly where all my classes are, what shuttle takes me where, the shortcuts to get to class, and what times not to go in the Lola's cafe or the dining hall (lunch time).
Another great thing of not being the "transfer" student is that now when professors ask you "how many of you is this semester the first semester you are here at Marymount University?" I get to say "not me" and won't get asked where I transferred from. it was always a struggle to answer that question because when I told them where I transferred from they looked very confused.
One important thing of not being the "transfer" student anymore is that once the school year begins, you have friends to hang out with and see unlike when you are the transfer student, you are walking into that campus without knowing a soul, which can be very intimidating. Luckily, that wasn't me this year. I had my best friend Mirian with me, and we started junior year together.
Cheers to junior year and let the procrastination begin!
