The New Old Nintendo NES Classic

This mini game console is so hard to find, but impossible to not want.

Sixty dollars, a small amount of money for some, and for college students, they often blow that amount in a very short time over things that are far less than necessary.

Not that the new Nintendo NES Classic is necessary, but while competitive gaming consoles including Xbox and PlayStation easily and without question go for hundreds of dollars, the renovated game based on Nintendo's first console but smaller would be a really good deal.

Finding this console right now is pretty hard to do, but it is going for 3,999 dollars on Ebay. Pocket change, right? You can plug it into a laptop, console, or TV with a USB port. The system only comes with one controller, but is made for two.

The system is programmed with 30 games, so you don't have to worry about losing the cartridges. This means, however, that the console will only ever have 30 games since it is such a small console, smaller than the original cartridges used. The games are a better quality look of the original games ones used to play. While some of the millennials won't remember the original games or system, those with older siblings or parents that saved the system would know the greatness but low quality of the look of the videos. The included games will be great throwbacks for some, here is the list:

  • Balloon Fight
  • Bubble Bobble
  • Castlevania
  • Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
  • Donkey Kong
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Double Dragon II: The Revenge
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • Final Fantasy
  • Galaga
  • Ghosts'n Goblins
  • Gradius
  • Ice Climber
  • Kid Icarus
  • Kirby's Adventure
  • Mario Bros.
  • Mega Man 2
  • Metroid
  • Ninja Gaiden
  • Pac-Man
  • Punch-Out! Featuring Mr. Dream
  • StarTropics
  • Super C
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Super Mario Bros. 3
  • Tecmo Bowl
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

If you think you want one, good luck finding it! This is most likely going to be the hardest, if not impossible, present to get this holiday season. It's a good deal in some people's eyes because of its cheap cost and already included games. Unlike most plug-and-plays, the quality is great, something often not found or even heard of with recent types from other brands.

Be on the look out if you aim to grab this as soon as you can. If not, you'll probably have to wait until the Spring to be able to get it. This just might be the have to have thing of 2017, because it's cheap and small, but a great throwback. Since most of the consoles that the NES Classic is based off of have either stopped working or might not work as well, people have been grabbing it to play their old favorites. This will probably make new favorites for some who have never had the pleasure of playing the old Nintendo games. Just be ready to share!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
