Outsidelands: the Summer festival of the Bay Area. While the outfits are definitely bolder than everyday clothes, they remain a step down from Coachella outfits.

1. It is a reunion of all the current students and alum of independent schools of San Francisco and Marin.

2. If you go to the Windmills, you will most likely find at least one person you know and will find yourself saying "oh my god it has been so long! I love your outfit!"

3. The food is great, and I mean great.

4. Baconlands consists of one booth that serves one thing; bacon alone.

5. A barrier separates stage left and stage right so if you're trying to get to your friend who is in the front left but you're by the right speaker, it's not going to happen.

6. People pee behind the port-a-potties.

7. Back to the food topic, GET THE FUNNEL CAKE.

8. You can get free water at a medical booth so don't bother paying $4 at a food booth.

9. The Soundstage has really fun djs and they even invite people onstage.

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
