It doesn't matter who's swearing by it...I will never believe in a 10 step nightly beauty routine. There are just so many situations that don't allow for that kind of time. What if you're out of town? What if you've had a long night? What if you are so exhausted you can't bring yourself to spend anymore than 5 minutes to get ready before bed? I have come up with THE routine for people who are always busy/too lazy to spend more than a few minutes.

1. Use an effective cleanser

My personal suggestion is the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser. It's gentle enough for those of us with sensitive skin, but still effective enough to take off your makeup at the end of your day. Let's be real, the least you can do for yourself is wash your face.

2. Use a toner

Toner really does remove the dirt and makeup your cleanser wasn't able to. It'll seriously take 30 seconds and make you feel extra clean. Try out the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner that won't burn your skin and doesn't tighten up your skin.

3. If you're trying to prevent acne...

Hear me out on this one: if you're prone to blemishes and want to see results LITERALLY overnight, try out the Arcona Men Clarity Aftershave Spot Repair Pads. I found out about these through an article and I've kept repurchasing it since. Fair warning though: these pads WILL burn and potentially make your eyes water because of the concentration of lactic acid, and it may make your face red. At first your blemishes will seemingly look worse immediately after use, but when you wake up in the morning you'll seriously have less spots on your face.

4. Moisturize

Honestly, besides the basics of washing your face, this is the second most important. I never thought nightly moisturizer made any difference or was even necessary….until I started using a nightly moisturizer. It'll seriously make your face look brighter and healthier. My go to is the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream. It's light, soaks into the skin well, works for all skin types, and has a very very light scent. It's basically perfection in a bottle. This is my holy grail product.

You will probably still have those days where you can't get up to do even these 4 steps. For those nights when you literally can't,Neutrogena Makeup Remover Night Calming Cleansing Towelettes are serious lifesavers. They effectively remove makeup while leaving your face moisturized. You'll wake up without feeling gross and your skin will still be soft and clean as heck. Keep a pack by your nightstand so you don't have an excuse to not use them. You'll thank me later.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
