My friends always know where to find me on Thursday nights. Trivia. I go so often that I'm starting to get recognized by the wait staff as a regular and the MC not only knows me but has bought us a round of shots on multiple occasions. So for those of you who are too "busy" to come to trivia with me or live too far away to join, I thought I'd give you a peek into a typical night at trivia so that you feel like you were there and hopefully decide to join in next time.
Arriving at the packed bar looking for a table.
Finding a table and hoping we get the cute waiter not the obnoxiously slow one.
Rejoicing because it's $1 beer night.
Trying to pick a team name.
Getting hype because trivia is about to start and we're feeling confident.
Feeling pretty good after the first few rounds.
When he says the next category is sports.
When we bomb the Family Feud round.
Trying to convince ourselves we still have a shot at winning.
When the pop culture question is from before we were born.
Killing the next few rounds.
Waiting while they tally the scores.
When we're not in the top 5.
When the same people who win every week, win again.
Leaving because trivia is over but knowing we'll be back next week!
