It was just announced that Nick Viall is the next Bachelor. Everyone was going crazy on Twitter when it got announced. To be honest, I was going a little crazy on Twitter too. I hope you are on my side about this. If you are not, sit back and explore the other side with me for a little.

Now being an avid Bachelor Franchise watcher of all the shows (yes I have seen all of them), I have seen Nick way too many times on my television screen. He has been on the Bachelorette twice (Andi Dorfman & Kaitlyn Bristowe ringing a bell?) and was most recently on Bachelor in Paradise. So what is going to make this 4th time special you ask? I'm not even sure myself. The fourth times the charm just does not sound right. But I guess by me talking about it and voicing my opinion, I may get some who disagree with me which is totally fine. I just think that Nick has had plenty of opportunities to find love. That being said, if he was not successful on the 3 tries he had, is he really going to find love this time? He has fallen short so many times. Certainly, he was able to go through the process more than once unlike Luke,Chase, and Robbie from JoJo's season.

The boys from JoJo's season that I mentioned above really should have gotten a better look at. It would have been great if it were any of them. I sure hope that the next Bachelor is chosen carefully and chosen not based on how many times they have been on the show. I hope the Bachelor team can maybe take a poll next time from Twitter and have the fans have a say because the fans are the ones at the end of the day that watch the show.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
