As we are now a quarter of the way through the NFL regular season here is a look at 6 guys that are making a strong case for the award of The National Football League's Most Valuable Player. All of the guys below are dominating in categories and some are even breaking records.
1. Khalil Mack

The Mack Attack has been very strong so far this year and it's hard to put a player above Khalil Mack right now. Mack has recorded a sack and a forced fumble in every game so far this year. Mack who is in his first season with Chicago after being traded has dominated since he arrived. Mack so far this season has 17 tackles, 5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 1 interception, and 1 touchdown, all these stats are pretty impressive for a defensive player who has only played 4 games this season in which the Bears are (3-1). The last defensive player to win NFL MVP was LB Lawrence Taylor of the New York Giants, Taylor and Mack are very similar in size both six foot, three and around the same weight, while the last Defensive player to win the award was over twenty years ago Mack is making a strong case to win MVP, and many experts are saying he is without a doubt the best player in the league right now. Many defensive players have come close to winning the award including J.J. Watt (DE Houston Texans) who finished 2nd in voting for the award in 2014. He's the only player to finish higher than third since Lawrence in 1986.
2. Patrick Mahomes

Patty Mahomes has almost made everyone forget that Alex Smith was the starting QB in Kansas City last year. Mahomes is looking great in his sophomore year, The Kansas City Chiefs are one of only two teams who are still undefeated. Mahomes who is only (23) years old has 14 TD's and 1,200 passing yards with no interceptions he also has a rushing TD as well, and if that's not impressive he is the only QB to complete passes with both his right and left hand this season. The Chiefs are (4-0) and don't really show signs of slowing up anytime soon. The Chiefs play the Jaguars(3-1) this week who statistically have one of the best defenses so it should be a good one to watch.
3. Jared Goff
Jared Goff (QB) Los Angeles Rams

Jared Goff and the High powered Rams(4-0) who have brought the Love for Football back to L.A. have been showing everyone that they are here for one reason and one reason only, that is to win it all. Many people said before the season that the Rams were putting everything into this years and by that they meant that the Rams have a bunch of stars on the team right now but they won't be able to pay them all come next year. One thing for certain is that Goff is the Rams QB and he is making a case for MVP he has thrown for 1,400 yards 11TD's and only 2 interceptions. Goff is the new story-line in L.A. where he is receiving the attention and love from several celebrities from The Chain Smokers to Instagram models. only in his 3rd year, the Rams are Undefeated and Goff is a big reason why. Keep an eye on him and the Chase for the MVP award.
4. Drew Brees
Drew Bress (QB) New Orleans Saints

At the end of the 2009 season, there were forty-four QB's who had more Career passing yards than Drew Brees. In 2009 Drew Brees won his first Super Bowl he also took home Super Bowl MVP honors that year since then the six foot tall man he was overlooked by a lot of people has not won a super bowl but has come close a couple times as of 2018 there is only two QB ahead of Drew Brees and the all-time career passing yards list and he only needs 201 yards to make it to number 1. Brees is making an MVP case this season because of consistency he has 1,300 passing yards 10 TD's and zero interceptions (8 passing/2 rushing) through the first 4 weeks so don't understatement him he should make it into the records book come next Monday night as he will also continue to strengthen his case for his first MVP. Also, the Saints are 3-1 thus far this season.
5. Ezekiel Elliot
Ezekiel Elliot (RB) Dallas Cowboys

leading the NFL in rushing yards after 4 weeks is somewhat of an Accomplishment considering this is a quarter of the regular season. Elliot who was the 4th overall pick only a couple years ago has 426 Rushing yards so far this season which is almost 100 yards more than anyone else he also has 125 receiving yards and a total of 5 TD's although the Cowboys have shown signs of struggle at some points this season, Elliot has remained consistent. The Cowboys are (2-2) so far this season but Elliot is averaging 5.8 yards per carry which is an impressive number for anyone but is also his career high, Elliot is by far one of the Best players in the league right now and is definitely a reason the Cowboys have two wins. if Elliot can continue this success he may not only be going home as the rushing yard champion but the NFL MVP as well.
6. Alvin Kamara
Alvin Kamara (RB/WR) New Orleans Saints

Alvin Kamara was overlooked in the NFL draft last year falling to the third round but he has made everyone who did not give him an opportunity pay since. Kamara leads all RB's with over 300 yards Receiving this season his total is more than that of WR Odell Beckham and WR Antonio Brown, and if you don't know who those guys are, they are considered two of the Leagues best Wide receivers so Kamara is definitely doing something to outshine those guys. To add to Kamara's impressive Receiving stat line he also has 275 rushing yards and six total touchdowns. Kamara, like Drew Brees, looks like they are on a mission this year so keep an eye on those two and their Candidacies for MVP
