As the NFL (National Football League) season is starting to end, there are a few things that are said during most games. Some of the things that happen during football games leave us scratching our heads and wondering what just happened. The list below is some things that are said while watching NFL football games.
1. "Where is the flag?!?!"
If you watch football you know what I'm talking about. The referees don't make the best calls sometimes, including when everyone but the referees sees a penalty that should have been called.
2. "He was in or out of bounds!!!!"
Some catches that are made can be questionable, especially when the catch is close to being out of bounds. When this happens a coach can challenge the ruling on the field. Once the referees view the play again they will either reverse the ruling on the field or keep the ruling on the field; if the refs keep the ruling on the field the team that challenged the play will lose a time-out.
3. "What was that?"
I think this one is self-explainable. There are some plays that happen that 'What was that?' is the only thing that you can say.
4. "Throw the ball!"
Some teams don't have the best running game or aren't great at running the ball. Which means some quarterbacks just need to throw the ball.
5. "Run, boy, run!"
Your team has the ball and is taking the ball down the field.
6. "How did you drop that?"
You caught the ball, you are running the ball, and you randomly drop the ball. No one is near you, but you still manage to drop the ball. The only question us fans have for you is 'How?'
7. "He was wide open!"
Dear quarterback, you have a receiver that is wide open, but you still throw the ball to your receiver that has two or three people on him. WHY DO YOU DO THIS???
8. "SACKED"
A sack can either be a good thing or a bad thing. It depends on if your getting sacked or if you're the team that's getting sacked.
There are several other things that are said and sometimes yelled during an NFL game, but the list would be never-ending if I were to put all of them here.
