The wild card round is over and it is now time for the NFL Divisional Playoffs. The wild card games were intriguing because all of the teams that won in that round were all on the road. These teams will look to repeat that next week when they go on the road and face the two highest seeded teams in their respected conferences. Here are some previews for the upcoming games.
Kansas City vs New England
Kansas City is the hottest team in the NFL. They have won their last 11 games and easily took care of the Houston Texans in the wild card round. This is not anything new for New England. This is the 7th consecutive year New England has been in the playoffs and they are the defending Super Bowl Champions. Kansas City will have their work cut out for them but it should be an exciting game.
Pittsburgh vs Denver
Pittsburgh comes into this game after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals with a late game winning field goal. Although they won, they had some numerous injuries in the game. Antonio Brown suffered a concussion and Ben Roethlisberger suffered an injury to his right shoulder. Both are expected to play though but Antonio Brown has to be cleared from concussion protocol in order to be cleared. Denver also has some questions as well. This will be Peyton Manning’s first full game back after his torn plantar fascia injury. This game should be the survival of the fittest as it seems the healthiest team may be the one who pulls it out.
Green Bay vs Arizona
This game will be a rematch from when the teams played last month. Arizona demolished Green Bay 38-8 in that matchup. In that game Green Bay Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was under pressure all game. Green Bay’s offensive line will have to play better in this game and Rodger’s receivers need to be able to make some plays for him. Arizona has been one of the best looking teams this year. They did suffer an embarrassing loss in their last game to the Seattle Seahawks. Arizona should be back to normal this game though.
Seattle vs Carolina
This game will also be a rematch from a game they played earlier in October. Carolina was on the road in that game and made an epic comeback to stun Seattle. Carolina has only suffered one loss this season and they have been a well-oiled machine all season. Seattle is one of the hottest teams going right now and they are also the two time defending NFC Champions. This game will not be an easy one for Carolina. This game should be one of the most exciting ones of the weekend.
