Yay! You have almost made it through 3 years of high school and now you are just counting down the days to graduation. I am sure that your parents are counting down the days until you move out for college or whatever life plan that you have for yourself. This is an exciting time because you are now the "Big Dogs" on campus and you feel like you own the school, but you should want to be the seniors that encourage the younger kids to do the right thing and not be bullying them just because you can.

You will have a lot of tough decisions to make during this next year of your life, and some of these decisions could be the biggest ones that you make in your entire life, so make them wisely. Be careful about how you make those decisions and don't let anybody else make them for you because you absolutely know what is best for you. Think about what you really want to do and find the best option for you.

Spend as much time with your family during this next year because you never know where you will end up. Spend time with your friends because you may all end up in different places next year and you don't want to go to college and lose connection with some of the greatest people in your life. Also, be there for the family members or friends who need help.

Do your very best during this next year because no matter how bad your senioritis gets, these grades will still count toward your admission to college. You still need to try and also stay involved, this is your last chance to leave a mark on your school!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
