As practically everyone knows, Apple has just recently released their new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. And on the whole, most people have figured out that it is hardly better than their last model at all; some, including myself, feel that it’s worse.
Even while knowing that there’s only so much technology you can pack into a phone, it was still expected that the new iPhone would include new features such as: wireless charging, 4K resolution, or really anything to match up with the stuff Samsung has been coming out with. But, it seems, the only major differences between the new phone, and the 6s model, are the lack of a headphone port, 2 new colors, and an oh-so-slightly improved camera. But instead of going in-depth about how the iPhone 7 is worse, I’d like to instead talk about why the 6S Plus is a better option.

For starters, the price of the 6S Plus is now the same for the same storage for the 7. Why is this a better deal? Well besides the obvious difference in screen-size, the 6S Plus has a significantly better resolution, giving a higher quality viewing experience than the 7. And then, the obvious one, it actually has a headphone port. You know, so the 95% of us who own cars without Bluetooth can still use our aux cords while charging and driving.
That’s the kicker, and the heaviest criticism apple has received since the unveiling of their new line of phones. Why they’re so eager to inconvenience people by making traditional hardware obsolete, is beyond me. They pulled this same stunt when they changed all their phones chargers, making it near impossible for a while to find someone willing to lend the correct cable.
This time, however, they are breaking a trend that has stuck for nearly a hundred years, and I seriously doubt it’ll catch on. It’s not that music quality is better with the 6mm, but it’s the idea of universal usage; you can use any headphone on any device, regardless of brand. Anyway, the 6S Plus still has this universally accepted method of audio output, giving it another advantage.
Lastly, it has been proven on many YouTube videos and tested by millions in real life, that the newly released ios 10 makes the previous models just as snappy and fast as the 7; even the original 6 and 6 Plus. Another side-benefit to choosing the 6S Plus, is that they are much easier to find in-stock. Like every other year, the new iPhones sold out almost immediately, so itll be extremely hard to get your hands on one for a couple of months or so. So, to wrap up, getting the 6S Plus is the more logical choice. In my personal opinion, it is superior to the 7 in most every way, and is a much better deal as well.
