For many of us, 2017 wasn't our day, our week, our month... or even our year. Luckily, it's now 2018, which means new beginnings! But first, we need to lay out the groundwork for an exponentially better year, with a little help from our friends.

HAPPY! NEW! YEAR!

You're super excited to embark on the whole 'new year, new me' journey!

Maybe you'd like to discover your hidden talent...

...Or a hobby you never knew you had.

If you can't find either of those, what about a boyfriend or girlfriend to keep you company?

...Think again on that one. That last fling didn't end too well.

Stress management skills are likely somewhere on your very long list of resolutions...

...Remembering to do things on your normal to-do list would be nice, too.

Maybe this will even be the year you learn how to cook something other than frozen pizza!

You'd like to tidy up a bit around the house, as well.

And maybe you'll try to be an overall nicer person, while you're at it.

No matter how long a list you come up with, you just go back to being yourself.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
