New Year, Possibly New You

It doesn't hurt to make some sort of change come the new year.

It's the new year! We made it to 2017 at least somewhat intact.

If you're like me sometimes change is needed. For me that change was cutting my hair. I already had somewhat short hair (a little above my shoulders) and I cut it pretty short. It's like a pixie cut in the back and a longer bob in the front.

I absolutely love it. Sometimes I like starting the new year off with something new and fun and seeing how long I keep it. This year it was a change in hair style. I usually grow my hair out to mid to low back and then donate it but this time around I decided I wanted to keep it short rather than taking the time to grow it out even though my hair seems to grow like crazy (for real, I have like 3/4-1 of new growth from Thanksgiving to finals week).

Don't be afraid to change something whether that be your hair in someway (just don't heavily damage it) or finally cutting someone out of your life that was bringing you down to anything in between the two. It can be fun or it can be serious. There is nothing wrong with starting the year off with something different for fun or because it's time for it to happen.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
