Okay pretty much everyone I know hates this phrase, but I love it. I always think of a new year as a chance to try something new. Obviously I know you can try something new any day of the year and you don’t need to wait for January 1st, but it’s always more motivational if you have the entire year ahead of year. As opposed to waiting until October and feeling less motivated because you only have a few more months until the calendars change. I always like to make big life changes at the beginning of the year because I have the entire year to adjust to these changes before I make even more.
Cut your hair.
Try a new makeup look.
Buy a new outfit.
Eat a new food.
Make a new friend.
Go to a new coffee shop.
Try a new fitness class.
Besides, gym memberships usually cost less at the beginning of the year because everyone is always going for their New Year’s Resolution, and I’m always more motivated to go to the gym when it’s at a discounted price.
Use the new year to act as a motivator for something you really wanted to try in 2016 but never got around to.
