New Zodiac Sign Means A New Me

September 22nd, 2016: NASA has discovered a new astrology sign, recreating the dates for every other sign in order to fit in Ophiuchus, the 13th zodiac sign. Terrifying, I know.

This news is a life changer for those of us that live by our horoscope (people like me). But, it is kind of cool to think that after such a long time, NASA is still discovering new things in our solar system- even if it means I'm a Pisces. Adding in Ophiuchus has completely flipped around the dates, and I'm sure all the Horoscope apps are in a state of panic over the news. What are they going to do? How are they going to organize the new information when everything used to like up in perfect rows of three?

But on the other hand, I always related a bit more to Pisces. In fact, I used to read Aries and Pisces when I was looking at my horoscope. I never really related to Aries. Aries were sporty and hot headed and quick and ultimately mean. And while I may be quite hot-headed... and a little mean, I am in absolutely no way sporty or athletic or quick. I never really have good comebacks, in fact, I would rather run away and cry than confront someone. I am so afraid of confrontation it isn't even funny (okay maybe a little). So changing my sign to Pisces, although slightly frustrating, makes a good bit of sense.

The Pisces horoscope for today states that I need to make way for change, and I mean... what bigger change than my zodiac sign? Pisces are creative and compassionate. Pisces like sleeping and visual media. Now if by VISUAL media, they mean social media... they are pretty spot on about me. I love social media. Being a Pisces is a new thing for me, but I think I'm going to fit in just fine.

While I may be happy about my new zodiac sign, not everyone is. Check your new sign and see if you are an Ophiuchus. I don't know what it means for your day or personality or anything, but its pretty dang cool.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
