1. "Master of None"
For any fan of Aziz Ansari, or comedy in general, this is a must-binge-watch show! In this popular new sitcom, Ansari's character, Dev Shah, struggles to make decisions in his personal and professional life.
2. "Jessica Jones"
Another Netflix original series based in New York, "Jessica Jones" steers us away from Anzari's lighter comedy and towards the darker, crime-filled world of Marvel. After a tragedy ends her days as a superhero, Jessica Jones opens her own detective agency. Using her skills as a private eye, Jones works to find her tormentor before he harms another citizen of Hell's Kitchen.
3. "Cristela"
This is a fun show for anyone who can sympathize with wanting to following your dreams, even when family may not support you. While attempting to achieve the American dream, Cristela is hindered by her traditional Mexican-American family, who believe her goals are too lofty. While she struggles to bring together her traditional roots and her modern ambitions, the journey is full of joy and laughter.
4. "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce"
After making her way as an author of self-help books and a guru to people with family troubles, Abby McCarthy's career screeched to a halt when the world found out she had separated from her husband. "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce" follows McCarthy as she works to salvage her career and find her way in the world as a single woman.
5. "Gotham"
Any fan of Batman has to binge-watch "Gotham," if they haven't already! A prequel series, "Gotham" reveals how the heroes (and villains) of Gotham City got their start.
6. "Narcos"
The third Netflix original series on this list, "Narcos" is a gritty drama following the rise and fall of Colombian kingpin Pablo Escobar and the DEA agents hunting him. 8. "Phineas and Ferb"
Although the much-loved show, "Phineas and Ferb," is not new to our television sets, it is new to Netflix! 10. "Madam Secretary"
Newly appointed Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord struggles to balance her responsibilities in politics as well as family. The show follows foreign conflicts, gives insight into international affairs, and reveals a behind the scenes look at the duties of the Secretary of State.
