There, I said it; The Falcons are a completely different team than they were a year ago.
Honestly, I am here for every bit of it. How can you defeat both of the teams that played in the 2016 Superbowl back to back? I am extremely proud of what is happening for the Falcons, and what is to come next.
Last season, they began their season 6-0. However, that all changed rapidly and they were not able to make it to the playoffs. Who's to say that this WILL NOT happen again this year?
Me.
It is obvious that the Falcons this year, is completely different and will keep their momentum growing. They are currently #1 in the NFC South standings.
Their next challenge is against the Seattle Seahawks, where they will have to be extremely ready for their remarkable defense and Russell Wilson's tricky plays.
But hey, if you can defeat the Superbowl Champs as the away team, anything is possible, right?
"I think we are mentally tougher," Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said to NFL.com, "We are a more resilient group, for sure, and you learn from that. Obviously we started fast last year, and it didn't go our way in the second half of the season. But I think what you learn, especially for young guys, is that the difference between wins and losses are a handful of plays, and we have to be on the right end. I think we have done a really good job being opportunistic early in the season."
Matty Ice could not have said it better, it's only up from here. With Julio on the verge of breaking records that fans are anticipating and the defense constantly accelerating, they are making memories that fans could never forget.
"We have different guys that can get involved in the pass game and different guys that can get involved in the run game," head coach Dan Quinn said to NFL.com, "We know the different matchups each week, and sometimes you get an opening [to exploit]."
With Dan Quinn a former Seattle Seahawks coach, and his knowledge of what the Seahawks and the Falcons are capable of, he knows that the Falcons are beyond preapred for this challenge and change. The administration has been preparing for this change, and they will continue to change to make this one of the best seasons Atlanta has ever seen.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, The Dirty Birds are back.
