While pent up in the house, I have done a lot of research and investigating things to do to pass time. Of course, I could catch up on my homework that was due last week... but what's the fun in that?

I have made a few drinks, some breakfasts, and an awesome guacamole recipe during my quarantine. Some, of course, have been failures. But some have been amazing and I cannot wait to share them with you!

1. 3-Ingredient Pancakes

Ingredients:

-One banana

-One egg

-Half cup of oats

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until there are almost no chunks and it is a mushy consistency.

2. Add one egg and whisk until fully incorporated.

3. Add about a half cup of oats (may add more or less depending on how thick you want your batter) and mix until fully incorporated.

4. Pour the desired amount of batter onto a pan with butter over medium heat. Let sit for 2 minutes and flip. Let cook on the other side for another minute and then plate.

2. Yogurt Bowl

Ingredients:

-Your choice of yogurt (I prefer organic plain greek yogurt)

-Your choice of granola (My absolute favorite is the Blueberry Flax Granola sold at Target)

-Honey

-Shredded coconut

Directions:

1. In a bowl, scoop out your desired amount of yogurt.

2. Top with granola, honey, and shredded coconut.

3. Enjoy!

3. Whipped Coffee

Ingredients:

-Instant Coffee

-Sugar

-Hot water

-Milk

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine a tablespoon of all ingredients.

2. Use a hand mixer or whisk vigorously until concoction turns into a thick substance with stiff peaks.

3. Put ice and your choice of milk into a glass, filling about halfway.

4. Pour the whipped coffee on top, blend, and enjoy!

4. Pineapple Matcha Starbucks Replica Drink

Ingredients:

-Matcha powder

-Milk

-Hot water

-Vanilla

-Pineapple juice

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, use a hand mixer or a whisk to combine a half cup of hot water and matcha powder until fully incorporated.

2. Pour ice and milk into a glass about halfway.

3. Add a tablespoon or two of vanilla syrup.

4. Pour in the matcha, leaving room at the top.

5. Add a splash of pineapple juice and enjoy!

5. My Homemade Guacamole

Ingredients:

-3 Hass Avocados

-1 red onion

-Medium salsa

-Lime juice

-Salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper

Directions:

1. In a bowl, mash the large avocados.

2. Chop one red onion and add to the avocados.

3. Add around two to three tablespoons of salsa, depending on how much of a bite you want.

4. Cover with a couple squirts of lime juice and incorporate well.

5. Add salt, pepper, paprika, and red peppers, and mix. Enjoy!

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
