We all know it. We all hate it. That six letter word.

M-O-N-D-A-Y.

I'm pretty sure it's a scientific fact that if it's Monday anything that can go wrong will. From forgetting to put on deodorant to busting a heel, Monday's just blow.

So, why are Monday's so bad?

1. You're showering but could still be sleeping

The alarm goes off, you turn on the shower, and then just let that water run on your face while thinking "I'm a good person, why did this happen to me?"

2. Starbucks gets your coffee wrong

A day powered by strong bean juice is a good day; when you take that first sip and realize it is NOT your skinny caramel macchiato, it is not a good day.

3. You get to work and have 34,879 new emails

Sometimes it takes an hour just to clear the junk mail...

4. Remembering you have a meeting that starts in 1 minute

*grabs coffee and quickly runs to other side of the building and forgets pen*

5. Your coworker tells you about their weekend escapades

Okay, girl. So how was that Tinder date? Let's kill some time.

6. When you realize it's only noon

Welp, only four more hours of Pinterest surfing to go.

7. You finally get motivated to get some work done

Alright, let's answer those emails from this morning!

8. Then quickly realize you'd rather be at the beach

But, I wonder what the temperature is in Nashville. Hmm, let's check.

9. You hear someone say "3 more hours..."

Thanks for the reminder.....asshole.

10. 5:00

Finally, keys in hand and sprinting to your car.

11. Someone asks how your day was

*pours a strong drink and mentally prepares to repeat tomorrow*

After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
