Living in Massachusetts for 18 years of my life and now residing in New Hampshire, I have learned a few things about New England. More importantly, I have learned that New Englander's love the fall season including myself. Filled with falling leaves, cool October nights and two holidays, I mean why would it not be our favorite time of year. So here we go, why us New Englander's love fall!

1. Apple picking at the local apple orchard

Every families favorite fall day when they get packed into a car and drive to the orchard. Go for a hay ride to the orchard and pick the best apples you see. Eat about 6 when you are there even if you are not hungry because it is all about the experience.

2. Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee, even on the coldest days

It does not matter if it is below zero temperatures out, we ALWAYS get a iced coffee from Dunks. We do not go to work or school without it. Coffee is what gets most of us through the day. Anyone who likes Starbucks, reconsider.

3. Foliage

It is always fun driving down those New Hampshire roads and seeing the changing leaves falling from the trees. This is where the best foliage pictures are taken, everyone knows that.

4. Football Season

Brady in this gif is how everyone feels come football season. Sunday's become less dreadful and the snacks are incredile. Football is a way of life up in the northeast. Go Pats! (Brady's coming back, sorry Goodell.)

5. Apple Cider Donuts

Another important thing to get when at the orchard is those warm apple cider donuts and a nice tall glass of apple cider. It tastes good all year round but during fall, it is even better.

6. Carving Pumpkins

Pumpkins never come out the way you wanted them to but hey, you tried right! It's simple fun to just crave some pumpkins and throw seeds at your family in October.

7. Hockey Season

Finally, it is here. The first games of hockey season are happenng and it is finally starting to feel like fall to those hardcore hockey fans.

8. Halloween

Fun as an adult and child. Dressing up as whatever you want for a night without getting judged? Yes please!

9. Thankgiving

We wait all year to sit down around a table of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatos and family. You feel like you have a food baby for the next 72 hours but it is all worth it because your twelfth serving tasted good.

10. Family Parties

It is the biggest season for family with 2 holidays and thanksgiving being the big family holiday. It is your first break off from school and work and you finally get to see family from far away, what's not to love about fall!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
