As college is almost coming to an end with only a year left I can't wait to see where I will be within the next two years. It is so exciting and nerve-racking to see that all my friends that I went to college with will be in new places and states. I can't wait to see where I live because I want to live in a big city and somewhere like Chicago, New York, or Los Angeles. Those are my top 3 dream places. I want to live in a place where there is a lot of options because I still don't know what to do so I want to have a place like that. My dream goal is to be the CEO of a company and get to travel everywhere around the world.

It's scary but I know it will all work out for the best. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that I think it truly will. It is going to take a lot of work and time but it will all be worth at the end. My family will always be there for me throughout everything. They have always been my support system and I will always remember that. A family is always there for you in the end and will never turn their back on you no matter what. There are my biggest fans and I will always be thankful for the amount of love and compassion they give me on a daily basis. I know I can always call them

I'll always remember those who helped me along the way because you have taught me so much about myself that I never know I even had in me. Thank you to all my friends and to those that have grown apart from thanking you for being there for me. You never know how thankful you are for those who are in your life until you're away from them during long periods of time. I've grown so much throughout the past few years and I'm looking forward to the next journey I'll be able to endure on and the wisdom I'll gain from those I choose to surround myself with.

Yes things may change and people will come and go, but I'll always be thankful for those who crossed paths with me and assisted me in becoming who I am today. I am the strongest I've ever been and will continue to let that strength assist me in progressing throughout all aspects of my life. A year from today, I hope to be as strong as I want to be and as eager about my future as I am now. The road will be bumpy and there will definitely be barriers ahead, but I'm so lucky to live the life I live and be surrounded by the people that I've let into my life every day.

I can't wait to see what I accomplish, It'll be the start of a new beginning and an even better time to be here.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
