I'm sure the cover photo made many of you think this was going to be about baseball or something. But, it's not. Look at the fresh clean white ball, that represents all the new in your life. Now, look at the dirty ball, that represents all the old in your life. Just because they look different does not mean they are different.

One of the most difficult things in life is to accept. Challenge yourself to accept everyone for who they are. Recently, I've noticed how fast time flies especially after my first year of college. Everything just seems to be moving faster and faster as time moves on.

I've found myself looking back at old times and thinking of all the amazing people I've met from kindergarten to high school. I cherish every second I have spent with all my old friends and I continue to cherish every second I have been spending with all the new friends I have made this past year.

It's easy to get carried away with all the new things in life, but it's important to focus on all the old which brought you to where you are now.

The new and the old is an interesting concept because life truly moves too fast and sometimes we loose sight of the people and places who brought us the life we now have.

This almost seemed to be more of a rant, but I was simply trying to remind everyone to cherish the new and the old. Be thankful for where you have been and where you are going. Count your blessings when you remember your old friends who have never left your side and your new friends who will never leave your side.

Growing up definitely comes with losing old friends, but you can also think of it as a gain. For every one person who choose to leave your life, it just makes the people who always stay for special.

In the end, the point is to be thankful for the new and the old and to cherish everything in your life. Most things change, but never forget the people who brought you to where you are.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement. Before that day, I never really thought about being a friend to myself, and at the time, I didn't really know what it meant. Now, I realize that you can't fully be there for other people unless you're there for yourself, too. You can't show up for others until you're willing to show up for yourself.

Here are five things everyone should learn in order to be a better friend to themselves. These steps are hard, but they're so worth it.

We all have a love hate relationship with winter, lets be real here. The snow makes people forget how to drive, its cold, the roads are bad, and chances are, you will be spending a lot more money than you do during the other months of the year. If you’re from the Midwest, it seems to be that winter lasts for what feels like forever. But despite the struggles that winter brings, there are so many things to love about it.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.
