Wisconsin is boring. There is nothing to do and nothing to see. Miles upon miles of farms and cornfields? No thanks. Before travelling to "America's Dairyland," make sure to keep the following in mind.
1. Lake Michigan isn't all that beautiful
Okay, I take that back. Lake Michigan is gorgeous and us Wisconsinites are proud that it is found right in our backyards. Going to the beach is one of our favorite summer activities. There is nothing like laying your towel out, putting your sunglasses
2. There isn't even anything to do at the lake
Boating? Jet skiing? Kayaking? Tubing? Swimming? Eh.
3. The Wisconsin Dells?
Yah, the waterslide at the community pool might be fun, but you haven't experienced a waterslide until you have gone to the Wisconsin Dells. The Dells? Yup, The Dells. It's only the waterpark capital of the world and only has 30 water park resorts. And if you get board of water rides, feel free to stop by the two theme parks or even go zip lining!
4. No appreciation for art
People these days seem to have no appreciation for the arts. Thankfully, Wisconsin does. The Milwaukee Art Museum is located in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee on the edges of Lake Michigan. With over 25,000 pieces, the building is overflowing with art. And I mean that literally. The unique building is a piece of art itself. It is designed to look like a bird; when the wings are open, the museum is open and when the wings are closed, the museum is closed.5. Who would want to live in one of the happiest places in America?
Alright, count me in. According to a study conducted by the University of Vermont, Green Bay, Wisconsin, was named one of the happiest places in America. I can't help but wonder if a certain team has anything to do with that...6. Snow? No thanks.
I get it, I'm not a fan of snow either. It's beautiful when it first falls and when it snows on Christmas day. But snow means shoveling, and shoveling isn't fun. Plus, when the snow becomes grey slush, it's just ugly. But if you like everything else about Wisconsin, why let a little bit of snow stop you from visiting?
