Why You Are Never Too Old For Disney World
Travel And Leisure

Let's talk about the happiest place on earth. I've been going to Disney World ever since I was three years old and since then I have probably visited over ten times. Even though I've been so many times I can't begin to explain the excitement I feel whenever even the idea of going to Disney is brought up. However, I can't tell you how many people have told me that I'm too old for Disney or that Disney is really just for little kids — which is totally not true.

Let's start with the characters you meet at Disney World. Yes, I know it's a big deal for the little ones to meet their favorite character or princess but the fun doesn't die down as you get older. When I was in high school I went with my friends and the fun you have joking around with the characters is just as fun as it is for the little kids getting to meet Cinderella for the first time. You finally get the jokes you didn't understand when you were little and the way they talk to you, even if it is more age appropriate, is just as hilarious.

Of course there's also the rides. When I first started going, I wasn't tall enough for most of the rides and I was afraid of most of the ones I could get on. Now that I'm am "adult" I can now get on "The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster" and ride it three times in a row with no problem! Also, as you get older, waiting in line for these rides becomes a whole lot easier; you can play the games they have created for you to play while you wait.

Now, let's talk about Epcot! I feel like I never gave Epcot the props it deserves as a kid but Epcot is unbelievably awesome. From the rides to the decor to the festivals, Epcot is just as much for the adults as it is for the kids. Ever heard of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival? Or the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival? Both so cool and definitely something to try if you are 21 or older — or just super into flowers.

Lastly, I know Disney is known for their family friendly atmosphere but that doesn't translate to a " put a damper on your good time." There are plenty of night-life related things to do such as checking out the different hotel bars or the clubs or Disney Springs.

So keep these things in mind the next time you think you, or someone else, might be "too old for Disney!"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
