Most people think you grow to love Disney. I myself think I was born loving the wonderful world of Disney. This past week, I decided to pass up Disney for the first time EVER, but only because my favorite person to go to Disney with isn't going with me. While I was returning some unnecessary Disney gear, I started to reminisce and appreciate how great Disney has always made me feel. From the movies to the catchy tunes to the amazing cast members that bring our favorite characters to life, it'll never cease to put a smile on my face.

Here is the clear photographic evidence from when I had some serious love for Winnie the Pooh. Later on when I got a little older, I fell in love with the princesses and nothing could stop me from wanting to become a Disney Princess. I had to have everything I could possibly get my hands on, dresses, toy sets, pants, t-shirts, shoes and basically anything that had the princess' faces on it. Christmas and my birthday were at a tie for my second favorite time of year, after Disney trips of course, solely for the hope of Disney related presents. Halloween was another time if year that I got to showcase my love for all my favorite leading ladies of Disney.

Now, in my adulthood I can truly appreciate the life lessons these movies taught us on the down low. Like when Pocahontas taught us a little something about not judging others until you know who they really are. Which is something I think some of us need to relearn.

Or when the Lion King taught us that even though the past can be painful we can still learn from it to better our future or you can run from it and pretend it never happened, I don't recommend the latter.

Who can forget about one of the best quotes about self love? Its so beautiful to see that a movie encourages you to be proud of how unique you are instead of letting people make you feel ashamed for being yourself.

I know I can honestly say that I'll never stop loving Disney just for the simple fact that I find it all of it so comforting. From childhood to adulthood, the movies and Walt Disney World itself, it always manages to warm my heart and put a smile on my face without fail. I know there are people out there who will agree with me.

Some things never change and I can live with that.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?
