Why You Should Trust In Him

This is for all of those that are going through something in their life. No matter what it is, no matter how strong it overtakes you, there is a way out. I know that everything that you’re feeling is real and very powerful and I know that it can easily tear you apart. I’ve been there. I understand the pain, the suffering, the agony. I am good friends with those feelings. I’ve spent most of my life suppressing a storm within my heart. I know how it can easily destroy everything that you have ever done. I am with you, I promise. I may not know exactly the issue, but I am well acquainted with the pain. Please, hear me.

For years, I have struggled with emotional distress and I felt that no one would ever understand. But, I was wrong. There is one person that knows. His name is God. He knows you. He made you. He sees the internal anguish that you are dealing with. He can help you. He has helped me get through tough times and He is still there whenever I need Him. We all go through trials and tribulations, but it's the internal conflicts that hurt the most. Your body will always heal, but emotional and mental scars can last a lifetime. I am here to tell you that God, my Father, can heal those scars. He can give you the strength you need to carry on no matter what happens. We are a family in His name. We are together on this earth. We need each other. Please, before you decide that all is lost give this a try. Talk to God. Read the Bible. Let Him be your Healer, your Comforter.

After I did this, my emotional scars were able to heal. It does take time, but they heal nonetheless. I am able to move on with my life and continue down the path that my Father wishes me to follow. I’m not saying that there won’t be more emotional pain, but you will always have support no matter what it is. My God is strong, powerful, loving, and He never fails. Don’t give up, there are much better things awaiting you in your future. The pain you feel lasts for the night, but the joy that God gives lasts for an eternity.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
