The Importance Of Picture Taking.

"Omg. Another picture????"

The Importance Of Picture Taking.

So, I know every friend group has that friend who is always trying to take pictures and who is constantly carrying around a camera no matter the event.

I am that friend, but for good reason.

You have to remember the moments.

No matter how mediocre the event, pictures are a must. It’s so important to remember those moments in your life because you could honestly have so many stories to tell from the pictures.

Pictures are probably the coolest things ever.

I don’t know if you think like I do, but bare with me for a second. Think of pictures like this: a picture is simply a snap of a moment you can never relive. A contraption simply clicks and BAM! there’s a tiny piece of paper with what could’ve been one of the greatest moments of your life. Is that not the coolest thing ever?

Moments of nature can be preserved

Although it might not look how it did in the flesh, the sights will still show you a glimpse of something that God has created. It shows God’s canvas and his amazing way to use the sky and “paint” his pieces daily and nightly.

The moments captured can never be changed.

Sure they could physically be changed with photoshop and every bit of technology that we have these days, but the feelings expressed by the picture themselves can never be altered. You can try to delete them out of your memory, but anytime you see that picture, you will remember how you felt in that very moment and I think that is so beautiful.

I know it can get annoying to constantly sit (or stand) and pose for pictures, but one day you will thank those annoying photo-obsessed friends because that single memory has been captured and that moment will forever live.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
