List Of 10 Things I'll Never Do Again

I am very familiar with learning how some of my choices aren't the best, the hard way.

I tend to be very unlucky and manage to make not the best decisions. Below is a list of things I've personally done and if you have the common sense that I lack sometimes, you won't make the same mistakes that I've made.

1. Drive my car to another state while it has issues

On fourth of July this past year, I decided last minute to drive to California to meet up with my friend, Courtney. I knew my front bumper dragged a bit due to me always running on top on curbs, but little did I know that it was more severe than expected. Being the dumb teenager I was, I decided to push my cars limits and drive it all the way to California with my bumper dragging. Whoops, sorry mom.

2. Spend multiple hours at an outside bar in only a swim suit

Since I am Spaniard, people tend to think that I tan very easily. As Donal Trump would say, "Wrong." I tend to forget actually how easy I burn. I went to an outside bar and spent countless hours there. When I came back to my hotel room, My chest had been burned to the pattern of my swim suit. Some would call that art, but I called it miserable.

3. Drink a whole bottle of moscato during girls night

Girls nights are literally the best nights. They happen very often in my life and one time I clearly didn't realize that I downed a whole bottle of pink moscato. Last thing I remembered was making top ramen. Rest is a blur. Fruity drink, yes. Good idea, NO.

4. Make a Tinder

Tinder became very popular, very quickly. I made one as a joke and that's all it was. I hated the aspect of judging someone based off of looks and talking to each other through social media. Connections are never formed that way.

5. Run through campus wearing Uggs while it's snowing

During the first snow fall here in Denver, I didn't know what to expect. I wore Ugg boots are hoped for the best. I didn't think it would snow THAT hard. All my friends were in the North building and asked me to meet them there. Luckily, I was all the way across campus. Seriously. I started walking backwards because the snow was hitting me hard in the face. When I realized that idea wasn't the smartest, I turned around and started running. I ended up slipping a falling to my knees. How embarrassing.

6. Cry after a spray tan

During my pageant days, I would get spray tans multiple times throughout the month. One time I was being over dramatic (the usual) over something I can't even remember, and started crying. Once I was through with my dramatic episode, I looked in the mirror and realized my spray tan had streaks running from my cheek to my chest. Honestly not my best look.

7. Use vodka instead of beer in beer pong

On my birthday this year, I managed to keep my composure all day while celebrating. Right before my friends and I left for Beta Nightclub, we decided to play a nice, friendly game of beer pong. When we noticed that we ran out of beer, Grey Goose was our only option....lol. I'm not finishing this paragraph because we all know exactly what happened...

8. Work retail

I worked retail for about two and a half weeks. That's it. While working retail, I realized how boring it was and how I hated standing on my feet with nothing to do. There really isn't much more to it. Also, I was forced to dress up everyday and look nice which is something I also dislike. I prefer a uniform, or scrubs.

9. Store my crickets in a cage with holes big enough for them to crawl out

I have to buy large amounts of crickets at once to feed my Bearded Dragon, Spike. Typically I'll purchase around 65 at a time. I have two separate cages to hold them in since one isn't big enough. Long story short, I had to tape up little random wholes that were bigger than average. My roommate and I slowly started finding crickets around the house before I taped the holes. It was funny and not so funny at the same time. No one likes getting ready to take a nice relaxing shower, and then finding a cricket crawling in the tub.

10. Order Postmates while tired

If you don't know what Postmates is, it's a food delivery app that delivers food from pretty much wherever you want. Delivery fees are usually double ( or more) than your order. I pick and choose wisely when I use the app specifically for that reason. I ordered it after a long morning and ended up fall asleep. I lost out on $25 bucks and never received the burger I was craving.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
