Nevada Wolf Pack -- Are You Ready?
ASUN

Alright, Wolf Pack, ya'll know it's coming. First game of the year. This Friday.

Here's a few tips you need to know -- especially if you're a freshman:

1. Wear your school colors. All of them. Everything. The crazier the better. (In case you didn't know, it's silver and blue).

2. Absolutely do not wear anything red...unless you want to die a very painful death, then go for it. Otherwise: NO RED. NADA.

3. Make sure you stand and cheer for your team. They represent you, so you better be excited for them.

4. Follow the cheerleaders' cheers, they actually have cheers to help you. (AKA: Wolf - Pack!)

5. Feel free to join the band when they're dancing in the stands! (Don't make them look awkward and lonely by letting them dance alone).

6. If you're a freshman, go to Running of the Wolves. It's a super rad experience getting to run onto the football field with your whole class at the first game.

7. Buy your tickets early. They sell out really fast because student section has limited seating.

8. Bring a sweatshirt for evening games. It may be hot to start but it can get dang cold by the end of it all.

9. Go with a group of people. It's way safer if you go with a group, especially because games end really late. Also, it's really lonely if you go by yourself.

10. FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD AND PURE, HAVE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. Don't diss bad ref plays or the other team scoring. We represent an excellent university, let's not damper that reputation by being poor sports.

11. Yo, feel free to SnapChat and tweet the good stuff.

Get super pumped and ready for an awesome season, Pack. It's gonna be awesome.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
