Netflix has millions upon millions of subscribers that are constantly on the hunt for new shows to watch. I felt it was necessary to share some of my favorite shows and encourage everyone to not only watch them but love them just as much as I do!

1. "One Tree Hill"

My all time favorite show in the world. This show provides so many different realistic situations within all nine seasons that your always on your seat. With the original cast of Brooke, Peyton, Luke, Nathan, and Haley to the addition of dozens of new characters throughout the series, you're bound to fall in love with the majority of the cast. "One Tree Hill" gives just the right about of tears with car crashes, deaths, heart breaks, and shootings but also provides many smiles with love, humor, the growth of the cast and their children, and an unbreakable bond between friends. "One Tree Hill" starts off with the cast in their ending years of high school and mainly surrounds the topic of basketball and typical gossip and tragedy within teenagers and their love lives. By season 5 the cast is all grown up and living life in their own direction which makes this show even more entertaining. Although they're all grown up though doesn't mean that all of the suspenseful drama will come to an end!

2. "Greys Anatomy"

Personally, I was shocked to find out that I loved this show. Be weary though that some might feel light headed with the scenes filled with fake blood. "Grey's Anatomy" is all about life in a hospital and the different cases that are seen daily. Each episode provides fans with at least three different medical situations the doctors and interns must fix, and sometimes they can't. Not only do watchers get to enjoy the patients get help, but also get a large fix of the love lives between the attendings, interns, and residents. Of course working within the same hospital can cause drama between many relationships but these doctors figure their way through their relationships while also balancing their work lives as well.

3. "Lost"

I'm not even really sure how to describe this one. "Lost" will throw you for a loop considering the whole story of whether the survivors of the plane crash are actually survivors, or had died instead and this is seen as some sort of "Limbo." The greatest part of this show is how it will constantly go back and show what each person was doing when the plane was about to crash and how different each personality is. "Lost" is a show that will really make you think about many different things about what is happening not only within the cast but also the creepy island.

4. "Cutthroat Kitchen"

"Cutthroat Kitchen" consists of a very different kind of drama. Four chefs compete to win a cash prize. Each chef is awarded $25,000 but throughout the show, anyone can buy an item that will sabotage all the other chefs or one chef of their choice. At the end of the day, the winner will walk away with the remaining unspent money from the auctions. The main goal of the game is to spend to sabotage but also conserve the most money as you can.

5. "How I Met Your Mother"

The plot of this story is Ted Moseby (the main character) tells his son and daughter about the time he spent his life meeting their mother. Throughout this story, you meet four other main characters -- Barney, Marshall, Lily and Robin. The combined group of all five of these characters creates a humorous story with a hint of sadness at times. For the most part, these 23-minute episodes are laughable between Barney's stupid plans, making fun of Robin and her hometown, and the extreme third wheeling between Marshall, Lily, and Ted. This show if definitely Legend -- wait for it -- dary and deserves a high five for the creativeness of this hilarious series.

Of course, there are many amazing different shows on Netflix other than just these five shows such as "New Girl," "Friends," "Bobs Burgers," "Orange is the New Black" and many many more. Everyone always needs some time to themselves so why not sit down, relax and start a new show?

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
