Post-graduation life has me ready to start working, and as I'm waiting on my start date, I'm not used to having this incredible amount of free time. Cue: Netflix. Instead of re-binging "the Office", "Parks and Rec", or "Friends" for like the fifth time in 2018, I decided to give a new show a try - and proceeded to binge in under 2 days. A total of two seasons - 14 episodes - 20 minutes each will still keep you wanting more.
Admittedly, season one, in my opinion, is funnier than the second season, but I'll still be the first to watch if there will be a season three.
1. Rupert Grint
Because when was the last time you saw Ron Weasley act in something? In this dark comedy, Grint portrays a character who - despite not being the most ethical person - the audience is still rooting for. (Or at least I was)
2. Quirky, dark sense of humor
The first episode quickly goes from a misdiagnosed terminal illness to accidental murder... within 20 minutes. But despite such a seemingly serious premise, the show still finds a way to be uniquely silly. There's not too much I can say here without spoiling plot elements or jokes, but just know there were definitely points when I was laughing out loud.
3. The characters
While Grint's character drives the show as the protagonist, Nick Frost playing a bumbling, goofy doctor is also guaranteed to provide entertainment. Not to mention, 2000's kids have a further reason to rejoice as Lindsey Lohan joins the cast in season two.
4. Cliffhangers
As I said, every ending will be keeping you wanting to hit the "next episode" button.
