It's a strange time for television, there's no doubt about that.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, places such as restaurants, bars, movie theaters, and even schools are closing. So after a while, life at home can become pretty boring, especially with all of this social distancing that we are now having to do.
But that doesn't mean there isn't still plenty of stuff you can't do while at home. There's always spending time with the family. Of course, you can only do stuff like family game night so many nights in a row.
If board games aren't your forte, try binge-watching these 25 TV shows on Netflix instead. Some of which are good, if you need entertainment for young children.
FRIENDS
When looking at a list like this one, you already know that this how HAS to be included. And truth be told, this author has never seen it, but I have heard many stories of how good of a series it is.
The Ranch
A show to enjoy with friends or by yourself, definitely one that will lighten any boring mood and make you forget about being stuck at home.
Riverdale
If I'm being honest, this is probably my favorite (or at least one of my top favorite) shows here.
One of those feel-good series that came about from comics, it is a much darker version, but never the less still just as entertaining and keeps you guess what will happen next.
Criminal Minds
Big Mouth
Another one of those classic coming of age stories, but told in a hilariously relatable way through cartoon characters and even features a Hormone monster that wreaks havoc for the main characters.
You
This is a show about a creepy stalker played by Gossip Girl's Penn Badgley that goes around and learns as much as he can about his female target in order to date her. It also has other notable stars including PLL actress, Shay Mitchell.
All American
A story about a boy who recruited for the Beverly Hills High School Football team from South LA. It is also a Netflix top ten.
Pandemic
As much as you may not want to see this one (due to the whole reason you're probably watching Netflix in the first place), it still is a good watch for someone wanting to know more about viruses and how they are caused and fixed. Along with this Outbreak may be an interesting watch as well.
Stranger Things
Black Mirror
This show features a completely different storyline each episode, but basically has the same theme of what would it look like if technology ran a society.
Santa Clarita Diet
It's got Drew Barrymore and features a woman eating human body parts, what more could a person want?
Insatiable
Ah, the classic ugly girl turns drop dead gorgeous, you know the stuff that ONLY seems to happen in movies?
Parks and Recreation
How to Get Away with Murder
For those who like to get a little serious every now and then as well as enjoy a bit of drama this is the series for you.
And a little something for those with younger children (or siblings):
Project MC2
For the little girls who love science, this show is especially for them. For those that may not, it has all of the cute fun and quirkiness of a teen series.
Liv and Maddie
Everyone's favorite Disney channel Twins. the sad news is that this show stopped airing new episodes in 2017, but the good news is that you (and/or your children/ younger siblings) can still watch the series on Netflix.
Mako Mermaids
If you grew up on H2O: Just add water, then here's another kid-friendly version that is a Netflix original of that show staring different characters. Spoiler alert: this time one of the main mermaids is male.
Pokemon series
Remember those cards that you collected in like the 4th grade that you could use to exchange and battle with your friends (I know I do). Well now, not only can you watch a whole series dedicated to those cards, but so can your children (or younger siblings). If I'm being honest (and took the time to look in my room), I'm sure I could still find my pile of trading cards somewhere.
