Here are five shows or movies that I will always recommend!
1. "Rip Tide"
This movie is kind of similar to a "Hannah Montana" storyline. The main character (Debby Ryan) is tired of being stuck in the spotlight that her mother put her in. In a way to get a break from a diva melt-down she threw, she gets back to down to her roots in her hometown.
2. "The End of the F***ing World"
This is a Netflix original that sadly only has one season so far. It focuses on a teenage boy who thinks he's a psychopath. He killed animals in his childhood and thinks that he has no feelings, which make him believe he is a psychopath. However, he becomes unsure when he sets a target on a girl that he wants to kill.
Eventually, things do not go the way that he thinks they are going to go. A very twisty ending and seriously waiting for season two, which has been announced as a definite!
3. "What Happened to Monday?"
This is a Netflix original movie about a dystopian future where resources have become extremely limited. In order to stop the overpopulation of the world, everyone is only allowed to have one child. However, a woman actually carries seven children to term at once and then leaves them to her father as she dies. These seven children have to share this major secret for all of their lives and pretend to be the same person in society. Until one of them goes missing.
A lovely Sci-Fi thriller.
4. "White Girl"
This movie is about a girl who moves to New York in order to go to art school with her best friend. While living there, she gets into some seriously messed up situations, such as become a druggie, dating a drug dealer, and ultimately spiraling out of control. This movie has an ending that surprises me but doesn't at the same time, and you'll understand when you watch it!
5. "Black Mirror"
This show is so GOOD! "Black Mirror" is a dystopian universe that shows how technology will affect the everyday lives of people. Each episode shows a new version of different technology and the effect that it has on people. Pretty much none of the shows are connected unless you look for little signs in the show. If you have trouble staying interested in one storyline, then this show is definitely for you.
