With Christmas break upon us, it's suddenly the season for constant guilt-free Netflix binge sessions. To ring in the new season, here are my go to shows on Netflix.
5. The Crown
If you're a fan of royal scandals or you feel like you may have an old soul, I'd definitely recommend The Crown. After all, don't we all kind of dream about being a princess or queen or even to just marry into the Royal Family? (@Meghan Markle, you got lucky girl. I called dibs on Prince Harry anyways!!) This show gives a look at the life of Queen Elizabeth and just how much she's gone through along her very long reign. It's a great watch, and even better the new season came out this past week!
4. Stranger Things
Stranger Things is definitely one of those shows that you just gotta watch to realize you'll love it. It's probably one of the weirdest, nerdiest, coolest shows on Netflix, plus it's fairly new. With such an awesome cast (yes, that's Winona Ryder!), it's no wonder that everyone is buzzing about Stranger Things.
3. Grey's Anatomy
There are so many good and bad things about Grey's Anatomy. The love, the power, and the surgery. Not to mention the fact that Meredith Grey is the queen of monologues! Grey's Anatomy just screams, "Pick me. Choose me. Love me." Caution: Harnesses on the emotional roller coaster often don't work.
2. Gilmore Girls
Although this is my second choice, it takes #1 in my heart. Nothing will ever be able to replace the love and laughter of Rory and Lorelai Gilmore. Not only is the story line behind this show fantastic, but it's relatable in almost every aspect. Especially if you're a coffee lover(; If you're looking for a feel good time and minimal frustration, this is the show for you.
1. The Secret Life of the American Teenager
I don't know what it is, but TV shows that include both drama and romance are my absolute guilty pleasure. This one can definitely be considering an oldie considered it was back when ABC Family was still ABC Family (no one likes Freeform it's okay). The Secret Life of the American Teenager is about a teenager who gets knocked up at band camp one year after having sex for the first time. Her life is nothing but dull, and sometimes it gives you the feels. Shailene Woodley stars as Amy Jergens in this relatable teen drama.
