Since its inception in 1998, Netflix has been providing its subscribers with easy access to programs in an efficient and hassle-free manner. Starting out with just a mail delivery selection from 1998-2006 and then moving into online streaming in 2007, Netflix has quickly become a household name in entertainment. It's been ingrained in our daily routines and practices. We talk about Netflix as a common pastime and the first question we ask when someone recommends a movie is "Is it on Netflix?"
We love and respect the streaming service for it's abundant entertainment options they've collected from different production companies and tv networks. However, in recent years Netflix has slowly begun to produce its own original content and its high time people recognize it for what it is: quality entertainment.
The company's rise into production relevancy really began with it's success of its first original series House of Cards in 2013. Since that initial success, Netflix has only heightened the validity of its creations with shows like the Emmy winner Orange is the New Black (2013), Marvel's Daredevil (2015), Jessica Jones (2015), and Luke Cage (2016), Narcos (2015), Stranger Things (2016) and it's newest success The Crown (2016). This is only naming a few of their successes. While old-school networks like CBS, NBC, and ABC struggle to make programs stick with the ever growing shift to streaming, Netflix is taking full advantage of its strong hold and plans to release even more new content. Programs set to release within the next couple of years include series like Marvel's The Defenders (2017) and A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017).
So, if you haven't taken full advantage of everything Netflix has to offer, and have only limited yourself to the old programs and movies, then you are completely missing out. I mean just look at the stills below. Look at them and tell me that you don't want to check out at least one of these awesome Netflix productions.
