12 Netflix Original Standup Specials That Will Make You LOL

In This Article:

I spend a great deal of my time watching standup. I like to think of myself as a standup comedian aficionado so I watch just about any special on Netflix. These are some of the best comedians and specials I've watched on Netflix, some so good I've watched more than once.

1. John Mulaney - Kid Goregous

Instagram

John Mulaney is by far my favorite comedian and all three of his Netflix specials are FANTASTIC. "Kid Gorgeous" is his newest one but I highly recommend them all.

2. Tom Segura - Mostly Stories

Instagram

Tom Segura is a bit different in his comedy as he is pure sarcasm. "Mostly Stories" is great and so is any other special he has.

3. Hasan Minhaj - Homecoming King

Instagram

I love comedians that talk about their life. Hasan Minhaj does just that by basically telling you his entire life and little stories about growing up the child of immigrants and the weight that holds.

4. Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher - The Honeymoon Standup Special

Instagram

I was not sure I would enjoy this but I was totally wrong. Married couple and expecting parents (at the time), Natasha Leggero and Moshe Kasher, kill it in this three-part special.

5. Ryan Hamilton - Happy Face

Instagram

I've rewatched this many times because something about it is still constantly funny. Ryan Hamilton will have you rolling on the floor.

6. Ali Wong - Baby Cobra

Instagram

"Baby Cobra" is Ali Wong's first special and it's just as funny as her more recent special Hard Knock Wife. She relays the life of being a mom and wife in a completely comical way!

7. Jen Kirkman - Just Keep Livin'?

Instagram

This is Jen Kirkman's second special on Netflix and it's so different from her first. A complete turn around from the first, Jen will have you dying.

8. Judd Apatow - The Return

Instagram

You've seen his movies and TV shows but you probably haven't seen him do standup. Judd Apatow makes a return to the stage and you wouldn't even know he hasn't done standup in years.

9. Joe Mande - Joe Mande's Award Winning Comedy Special

Instagram

I honestly don't know what to say about Joe Mande's special other than just to watch it. His stories are ridiculous and you'll just want to hear them from yourself.

10. Sarah Silverman - A Speck of Dust

Instagram

She's crass but we love her. Sarah Silverman gives you exactly the type of comedy you'd expect and it's amazing!

11. Hari Kondabolu - Warn Your Relatives

Instagram

Another special I was surprised by, Hari will have you laughing over his mother and wanting to try all the different types of mangos the world has to offer.

12. Katherine Ryan - In Trouble

Instagram

A Canadian gem living in England, Katherine Ryan pushes boundaries with her comedy. You'll love her stories of Canada and her daughter.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
