Netflix: 15 Shows to Binge Watch

Many of us, including myself over this past winter break, find ourselves with too much time on our hands. If you find yourself with a day or two to yourself with nothing to do, consider starting one of these entertaining Netflix shows! The only problem is once you start watching it, you may find yourself several seasons in and unable to stop!

1. Grey's Anatomy

A medical drama focused on a group of doctors from a hospital in Seattle. The show not only depicts the doctors as they save the lives of their many patients, but also follows the doctors' personal lives and often dramatic relationships with one another.

2. Orange is the New Black

Piper Chapman realizes she cannot run from her past as she finds herself facing a sentence in a women's prison in Connecticut. Forced to adjust to her new life behind bars, Chapman meets and befriends many new and interesting women.

3. Breaking Bad

Chemistry teacher Walter White thinks his life and situation is as bad as it could get... until it gets worse. After he discovers he has terminal cancer, Walter White believes he has no choice but to turn an old RV into a meth lab in hopes of earning some money for him and his family.

4. Prison Break

Upon Lincoln Burrows' conviction of a murder he did not commit, his brother, Michael Scofield, creates an elaborate plan to break his innocent brother out of jail. To set this plan in motion, Michael Scofield must first join his brother behind bars where he finds himself making many friends but even more enemies.

5. The Walking Dead

As County Sheriff Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma, he realizes the world he knew, and possibly everyone in it, is gone. While in his coma, a zombie epidemic took over the vast population. Rick finds himself in search of survivors and a cure to the outbreak.

6. Stranger Things

Inspired by the 1980's, this science fiction drama is sure to give you the chills. When 12-year-old Will goes missing, an investigation into his sudden disappearance is launched. Throughout the investigation, strange discoveries such as an unusual girl and supernatural forces are made.

7. Dexter

Dexter Morgan is known as a blood splatter expert who not only solves murders, but commits them too. Despite being a serial killer, Dexter feels justified in the fact he only murders the guilty.

8. Criminal Minds

A group of FBI profilers who are experts when it comes to analyzing the minds of twisted criminals in order to anticipate their next move and save the criminal's next victim.

9. Bones

A forensic scientist, Dr. Temperance Brennan, has the ability to read clues from a victims' bones in order to discover information from their lives and their death. She works alongside Special Agent Seeley Booth, a former sniper who doesn't necessarily trust science.

10. Shameless

Frank Gallagher is a drunk, as well as a single father of six children. Fiona, the eldest daughter, acts as a sort of mother towards the other children and ultimately raises them while also caring for her frequently drunk and hungover father.

11. Private Practice

Addison Montgomery from Grey's Anatomy leaves behind both her friends and enemies at Seattle Grace Hospital in order to work at a public clinic in Los Angeles.

12. Scandal

Olivia Pope runs a crisis-management firm with her staff and team. Despite her impressive ability to clean up the lives and mistakes of others, she clearly cannot do the same for herself.

13. The Office

This comedy takes place in- you guessed it!- an office. It features a group of office workers who each play their own role and offer their own refreshing personalities.

14. Parks and Recreation

Similar to The Office, Parks and Recreation is a comedy that focuses on a group of government employees who work in the Parks and Recreation Department. Each character is clearly different from each other, from Leslie Knope who is passionate, motivated, and optimistic to Ron Swanson who, despite working for the government, despises it and opposes everything it stands for.

15. Bob's Burgers


Bob's Burgers is a comedy focused on Bob Belcher who runs his restaurant, Bob's Burgers, alongside his wife and three children.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
