To My Nephew

I love you so much already.

You're only a baby and aren't even close to being able to read yet, but I already love you more than I ever thought I was capable to. I thought I understood what unconditional love was, but now I know I had no clue before you were born.

I promise to protect you.

I never want you to experience any of the bad in this world. If I could personally eliminate all the bad that exists to give you the perfect world, I would. Instead, I promise that I will protect you to the best of my ability in every way I can.

I promise to never give up on you

I know that no matter how perfect you are right now, you can't stay that way forever. You're going to mess up and sometimes you might feel down on yourself or alone, but I promise to always support you. There is nothing you can do that will make me give up on you.

I promise to not let your mom be too tough on you

I've got got that super cool sister-sister thing going on with your mom. Don't worry, I got you. But don't get too cocky. I can't get you out of trouble forever! ....Sadly I can't really speak for your dad, he's a stubborn one.

I promise to always listen

I know how it feels to feel alone and unheard. Nothing is more frustrating than feeling like no one is listening, so I promise that as long as I'm around you'll always have my ears.

I promise you have the best parents

Yes, even when they eventually annoy you and you go into the weird teenaged boy phase where it isn't cool to hug your mom anymore. I have never seen such love radiate from two people in my life. Not only do they love you, but they love each other, and I promise that will make your time here that much brighter. Not everyone is as lucky as me and you are to have parents that are in love and love us as well - don't take it for granted!

In the end, I don't think words can do justice for all the love I have for you already. I can't wait to watch you grow, even though you're getting way too big already and really need to slow down! I know you're going to do immensely amazing things as you get older, and I hope you know I will always be one of your biggest supporters. I can't thank you enough for all you've done for me already in your two short months on this earth.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
