Negative thoughts make a person have negative emotions and negative actions which then becomes a vicious cycle of negativity all around. Sit up tall, shoulders back, and hold your chin up high. Just by doing those three actions will make you feel happier and more positive. There have been studies that show that people who are more hunched over are more depressed. Every time you have negative thoughts while studying or doing a paper for a class, stop slouching and start thinking more positive about the situation. Clearing your mind of negative thoughts, you might be having will make the situation feel as if it isn’t impossible anymore and will make you more motivated to keep going. Whether it is thinking about an exam you’re about to take, leaving for work in the morning, or mid workout at the gym, stop thinking you can’t do something, you don’t want to do something, or you’re not going to do well at something. It is going to make you not want to do any of those things even more than you do and it will just make you perform worse. Saying these things will make you get in your head and screw you over.

There have been many times where I go into an exam with a negative mindset that I don’t know anything or that I will fail and when I sit down to take the exam, my brain makes me think I don’t know questions I do actually know because I convinced myself I didn’t with my negativity. Next time you have to do something you usually don’t like doing or if it feels like it is impossible to get something done, give it some positive thoughts and I promise you that it will make it ten times easier to get through and will make life feel possible. It is hard to take control of your brain from these negative thoughts because of how powerful your mind is but once you learn how to control your thoughts and are able to stir them into positive thoughts, life feels enjoyable again just like it should be. Stress is considered one of the main causes of people being negative about life. Life is short, stop stressing about small things that you don't need to stress about. When you become overwhelmed with your stress it can really kill all positive vibes you might have left in you. If that's the case, find some inspiration to motivate you, surround yourself with positive people, and start enjoying every minute of life. Stop doubting yourself, you can do more then what your mind convinces you of.

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection.
