Creativity, at its best, is a wonderful thing. It can be found in each person's mind and each person's actions, directing them to write, sing, dance, draw, paint, design, build, schedule, arrange, lead, decorate, bake, cook, and so on. Its involvement in so many significant actions allows creativity to become a huge part of your identity, and, if you're anything like me, a huge part of your self-worth. That being said, in my experience, it is very difficult for me to be okay when I stop creating for a time, as I automatically feel like I am somehow cheating the title of singer/songwriter. I lose the reasoning behind my validity, in a sense.
In the words of Tessa Violet: "If you are what you make than who are you if you're not making anything?"
If you relate to this in anyway, I am here to tell you that you are more than what you do. Though you may be a creator, you are also a human and you are valid and worthy without the help of what you make. Your creations are simply an added plus to the wonderful person you are already.
An added point: A similar point was made in a Tessa Violet video that the above quote is from, and I would definitely suggest that each person who relates to this article take a minute to watch it.
