21 Reasons Why Having A Dog Is Better Than Having A Boyfriend

1. Let’s be honest, any dog is cuter than any guy.

2. They are always down to snuggle.

3. They will never cheat on you.

4. Every time you leave them, their heart breaks a little.

5. While you are gone, you’re the only thing that is running through their head.

6. When you come back they are more excited than a 5-year-old at a birthday party.

7. They actually feel guilty and care about when you are mad at them, hence the puppy dog eyes.

8. You can eat however much and whatever you want around them and not feel disgusting or uncomfortable.

9. They love when you hang out with your friends and enjoy the company of others.

10. They never care about what you look like or what you are wearing. They’re always down to go in public with you and never are embarrassed.

11. It’s easier and more fun to shop for a dog than a boy.

12. When you “Netflix and chill” with a dog, it is literally nothing more than that.

13. A dog doesn’t care about how much or how little clothing you may have on.

14. A dog lets you pick the plans for the day and is always excited about where you may take them.

15. Dogs can always tell when you are upset no matter what, even if you act like you’re fine.

16. They let you take all the selfies you want with them and don’t care about them being uploaded to social media.

17. If you meet their parents, the odds are they will love you just as much as they do.

18. They’ll never use you or call you at 2 a.m. for a booty call.

19. But they will wake you up at 2 a.m. just to play with you.

20. Dogs can always put a smile on your face and make you laugh.

21. But most of all they will love you unconditionally, no matter what.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
