Being in college, where everyone works different jobs with different hours, it is very easy to become separated from your friends, and so girls' night becomes even more special when you finally have it.
Girls nights aren't just good for making you happy to see your friends, but I feel like they also help relax you and allow you to let loose a little bit. I've never come home from a girls night out angry or upset, but instead I'm always happy, and usually really tired.
Friends are important because they help to make you, well, you. They are also there to support you and push you to do better, but when you are all stressed and just want a chill night, you know you can count on a girls night to make you feel better.
Some nights lead to mornings as you're out, while others are just a few quick hours that still seem to fly by, but either way, you know they're all good times. Having an ongoing group chat with them is also nice, for quick venting sessions, or to plan the nights out, but nothing amounts to that time spent together during a night out, or even a night in.
Friendships come and go, but once you find your group you really can spill everything to them, and you realize you all go through the phases of talking about boy problems, or school problems, or life/ family problems, and that group is there to help you out because you've all been through it, and there's no judgment there.
Some nights are filled with exactly that, just talking about different parts of life, while other nights are filled with partying and talking, some are filled with dinner dates and eating a lot, and then there are the nights you don't really remember, but will never forget thanks to your obnoxious snapchat stories or old Instagram lives.
I so love girls nights out, and I am lucky to have such good friends, and so is everyone else who relates to this.
