My Undying Love For Scoopy-Doo

Some may have a favorite cartoon character that will always have a special place in their heart and mine is Scooby-Doo. Many may grow out of this strong love for some silly character, but I have not and probably never will. I do not know why I have always been so obsessed with Scooby-Doo and many may think I'm completely ridiculous but I just adore his character, he's so funny and goofy that it makes me happy. Even on the worst days I knew a short episode of "Scooby-Doo" or one of the many movies made everything so much better. The story lines were funny, I always loved the mysteries and the goofy, unique characters made it all the more enjoyable.

I think Scooby was such a funny pup and I loved how silly he was, it was so entertaining and kept me glued in. He has such great character that would just make you smile ear to ear because he was such a funny dog. Even though he was not brave at all, I love how he would try to take down bad guys and normally end up making things worse, but that never mattered. Matters may have been made worse with the help of Scooby and Shaggy but they were the most hilarious dynamic duo in history. Scooby snacks were always used to coax Scooby into pursuing the many mysteries he did and Velma always seemed to be his favorite (besides Shaggy of course).

Many of you may not know about this hilarious group of people so I highly recommend you to watch an episode on Netflix or one of the numerous movies. I would say one of my favorites which was not aired for long was a Pup Named Scooby-Doo, I absolutely fell in love with the young Mystery Inc. they were all so little and precious. One of my favorite movies was the Original Mysteries of Scooby-Doo, the VCR version with usually three mystery stories on them. I could tell you many stories about the movies and the tv series, I'm sure I have seen almost every one of them. Honestly if you know me well enough you would know I had several Scooby birthday parties growing up, they never got old to me and people I went to school with knew all about how much I love Scooby-Doo even after graduation. I have many stuffed animals, watches, shirts, towels, so much fan paraphernalia and probably every movie. I have gotten all of the new movies for birthdays, Christmas and just because gifts from my grandparents and mostly my sister (she would give me one every birthday). When I go to Wal Mart I check the bin for movies that have been marked down that I may have never gotten and sometimes I'll find some new ones or I'll just see the ones I already have.

Yes this obsession could be ridiculous but to me it brings back great memories of birthdays and Holliday gift openings about the best cartoon character ever, Scooby-Doo. No I do not live in the past but reminiscing is so much fun when you get older and you have so many responsibilities, it's fun to get away and relive childhood by snuggling up and watching a Scooby movie on Netflix or if you're me, a VCR movie just to keep things as real as possible (or because all of my movies are VCR tapes). If you haven't seen these movies, explore them and try going back in age a few years and enjoying childish laughter by experiencing Scooby-Doo mysteries.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
