Need A New Podcast?

During quarantine, creativity sparked for my sister, Taylor, created a podcast about life after college and what no one tells you.

Need A New Podcast?

My sister, Taylor, decided to create an awesome podcast called, "TayChats." Through her podcast, she discusses life after college. What may life after college be?

Well, Taylor digs deep into her journey after college and talks through her experiences. She wanted to create a place for people of our generation to come together and help one another through the weird, awkward phase once you graduate. Furthermore, she informs people that it is okay to breakdown, to feel lost, or just not know what to do.

It is okay to feel this way and most of the time, we judge others of their social media profiles and do not realize the struggle or confusion others may have. So, in her podcast, it is the time to get real, raw, and true to the core. Life is not always pretty, but those bumps in the road do make us stronger and offer us life lessons throughout every episode.

Also, although her series just started, it will be one to listen in on. Some of us are about to reach that time in our lives and no one ever hears about the stories of confusion or feeling lost. For example, when you scroll through Instagram you notice all different people posting about their new jobs, new cities, and practically, their whole new life. In the pictures, the people always look so happy and full of life, but you never know what they could be hiding behind the screen. Therefore, it is time to stop hiding and feel welcomed by all.

I recommend joining to listen to Taylor speak about all your worries and stresses you may have. If you want to listen to the latest episode, the episode is available on Apple Music and Spotify. She is looking to post one episode a week, so the content will be on par and she is more than willing to receive feedback, questions, or topics.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
