I spontaneously decided to drive up to an area of Colorado that I have not yet explored. Upon leaving for the mountains in Nederland, the weather in Denver was sunny and in the 60s. By the time I found myself deep in the mountains and more than 10,000 feet above sea level, the weather turned. The mountains were packed with snow, the alpine lakes were frozen, and a snow storm was on its way. I saw another side of Colorado that I am not used to, as this will be my first winter spent in this beautiful state.
There truly is no greater feeling in the world than being secluded in the Rockies when a snowstorm settles in. It was easily one of the most beautiful scenes I have been a part of.
And the best part? This is only the beginning...
