Skincare is very important for all of us. It doesn't matter if your male or female or if you're young or old, skincare is essential. Beauty gurus on YouTube post all types of videos of different products you should try, but we all know it can be a bit overwhelming. There are a lot of products that provide different results, but how do you really know which product does what? Well, have no fear because I am here to help you know what's right for you.

1. Using cleanser

This a step you DEFINITELY should not skip. When you cleanse your face, you're taking all the nasty gunk off your face. Dirt from leftover makeup can clog our pores and a cleanser will do its job by removing any leftover dirt. While makeup wipes can remove some makeup, it doesn't remove ALL the makeup. There's a lot of gunk you can't see on the surface of your skin and cleanser will be sure to take off the unwanted bacteria of your skin. I personally like to use cleanser in the morning after I wake up and also at night before I go to sleep. After a whole day of working tirelessly, you want to make sure your skin stays fresh even for sleep. Cleansing takes away the day's bacteria, providing you with clean skin. You might ask why you should use cleanser in the morning, when you're using it at night anyway. The reason is that our pillows have bacteria and germs as well that can clog our pores at night. It's important to wash your face twice a day to ensure your pores are dirt free.

2. Exfoliating

For those of you have acne, exfoliator is key. Exfoliator works to rub off all the dead skin cells of your skin and reveal fresh new skin. Have any dark spots from acne? Using an exfoliator can remove dark spots over time. There are a bunch of exfoliators out there, so how do you know which one is for you? Well in my experience I've found out that it doesn't really matter what brand of exfoliator you use. All that matters is that it gets the job done right. Sometimes people like using exfoliators that have charcoal or other ingredients that they have seen beauty gurus use. It all depends on what you would like to put on your face. Did you know that you not only have to exfoliate your face, but exfoliate your lips as well? Chapped lips can be annoying and there's only so much lip balm can do. Exfoliating your lips gets rid of dead skin cells that would have resulted in chapped lips. Make sure to use a moisturizing lip balm after exfoliating!

3. Using toner

A toner can dry out acne scars as well. Toner works especially well for people who have acne. However, make sure you don't use too much of it because your skin will get too dry. Be sure to avoid your eye area as toners can be very strong and have a distinct scent as well. You can just squeeze some toner on a cotton ball (just a little bit) and apply in areas of your face that you tend to break out. For example, you might apply toner on your T-zone or your chin. Toners work to fight bad breakouts and prevent acne. Who wouldn't want to use toner?

4. Applying moisturizer

Moisturizers replenish your skin with lost moisture. Make sure to use a moisturizer that doesn't feel too heavy as you don't want to suffocate your pores. Picking a moisturizer that has a light texture is important, especially if you plan on putting on makeup afterward. There are so many moisturizers to choose from. Some have anti-aging properties, 24-hour protection, SPF, etc. One thing is sure, make sure your moisturizer has SPF in it to combat sun rays as you go through your day. You can start using moisturizers with anti-aging properties when you're in your mid-20s to make sure your skin stays young as you age. Something I like to do around mid-day is use MAC's Fix Plus Spray to give my face a fresh spray of moisture when I feel like my skin is getting dry.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
