If there is one thing that I've learned from my first year of college, it's that the life of Freshman here at State is very distinct. We all go through just about the same experiences and possess pretty much the same qualities.
The problem is, is that you don't realize you're the stereotypical State freshman until you're either writing an article about it or after your second semester. But that's beside the point, you can still rest assure that a large chunk of the Wolfpack family has gone through what you did as a Freshman.
So for all of the incoming Freshman, here is what you can expect. For all of the seasoned upperclassman, here is a list to reminisce about:
1. Joining the herd of other freshman walking to Maiden Lane during the first week of college.
because, college parties... right?
2. Getting honked and yelled at by people in cars on Hillsborough Street.
...there may be eggs involved.
3. Fountain's mediocracy amazes you.
The food is subpar, but the convenience is unbeatable.
4. ...but Case breakfast though...
That's where it's at.
5. Tailgates: Red, White, and Bojangles Cups.
And no, it's not sweet tea in the cup.
6. The draw-string bag you got during orientation = one of the most convenient things ever.
As much as you hate to admit it, you have definitely used it a couple of times.
7. You think no one notices you looking up a map on your phone when looking for your classes...
but it's pretty obvious.
8. Taking obnoxious pictures with the wolves...
9. ...and Scotty McCreery...
Instagram likes go through the roof.
10. Feeling like a badass when you walk into a bar for the first time...
until your ID gets taken.
11. 11:59pm...
is your worst nightmare on WebAssign.
12. OrderUp and D.P. Dough can solve anything...
*Warning* you may go broke.
13. One of your biggest goals is to get on wolfpacksnaps...
Until your RA sees what you post and gets you in trouble for it... (Yes, that happened.)
14. Your key lanyard never leaves your side.
15. "We're the red and white from State and we know we are the best..... go to hell Carolina...... go State!"
You'll eventually learn it.
